Northbound on I-17
I was low on smokes and gasoline
So I stopped into the Conoco Pic n Run
Low and behold to my suprise
That hard working woman caught my eyes
So I asked her bout what time she be done
She’s got 3 jobs, 3 loans, she’s 3 payments behind
But that hard working truck-stop lady
Is always on my mind
3 kids, 3 dogs, 3 cars in the yard that won’t start
Exit 333 you stole my heart
She was long and tall and lean and mean
Running her fingers across that cash machine
I wasn’t ready for an inside job
I wasn’t just heading from there to here
But that sweet talking lady caught my ear
And next thing you know I was ready to rob
She’s got 3 jobs, 3 loans, she’s 3 payments behind
But that hard working truck-stop lady
Is always on my mind
3 kids, 3 dogs, 3 cars in the yard that won’t start
Exit 333 you stole my heart
So I grabbed the money and was out the door
And I dropped the bag at exit 334
And then waited at 335 for my new wife
But when the sherrif showed I got so sad
Thats when I realized that I’d been had
She got the cash and I got 10 to life
She’s got 3 jobs, 3 loans, she’s 3 payments behind
But that hard working truck-stop lady
Is always on my mind
3 kids, 3 dogs, 3 cars in the yard that won’t start
Exit 333 you stole my heart
